He is so tired from all the excitement of coming home!! He is such a fighter. His very long ordeal is almost finally over. Now just a few weeks and he will be fully recovered!

Congratulations Scrappy on coming home! We are so proud of you. We just know you will make a speedy and full recovery, and before long you will be running like the wind. The worst is definitely over, so keep on getting stronger and keep us all posted. Make sure you get lots of rest and make sure you ask your mom for lots of treats.

Today is my second day home. I sure am happy looking at our lake and the woods and smelling the good ole smells of Kentucky. I think I am going to have to have a talk with my mom though. For some reason she won’t let me go outside by myself. She even puts a leash on me and makes me walk really really slow. I don’t like going slow. I am also worried because she is not leaving me alone not even for a second and you know how we want some privacy. And the most weirdest thing of all is that she is giving me all these treats for no reason, no tricks, no speaking, nothing. I think she might not be feeling to well. I am doing just great. Walking is a little more bouncy than before but I am getting the hang of it. Mom said she is going to order me the Ruff wear Harness but isn’t quite sure which one is the best for a front legged amputee, whatever that means. So if any of you could let her know which one is the best, could you let her know so she will quit asking me. Mom said all of you were really worried about me. Thank you for all your posts, but really I am doing just fine. I don’t know what she was so worried about but that is just the way she is. Since dad has been gone since Christmas and we don’t know when he will be back home, she just worries way too much about everything. Idid get to talk to dad on the phone today. I haven’t been able to talk to him in a long time. He said we would go fishing when he gets home. I can’t wait. Just wanted to let you all know that I am doing just great and mom is taking good care of me. She just keeps telling me that I need to lie down and rest. She won’t let me do anything. Oh well, I like being spoiled. Talk to all of ya tomorrow.

Don’t question the spoiling, Scrappy!! Mom’s are extraordinary worriers and the treats probably make her feel good too. Naps AND treats have gobs and gobs of healing power.

Very happy you’re doing so well! We knew you could do it.
